Elgin and Sugar Grove, Ill. - The Elgin Community College volleyball team fell in its first two conference games of the season.

The Spartans move to 0-7 overall and 0-2 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conferene (ISCC) play.

August 28: Morton 3, Elgin 0

Team leaders included Katey Mitchell in kills (three) and digs (four), Rachel Mikosz in assists (five) and Courtney Consoer in service aces (one).

August 29: Elgin 0, Waubonsee 3

ECC was bested 17-25, 23-25 and 15-25 in three sets.

Abriella Navarette registered a team-high four kills, as Mikosz recorded six assists. Other leaders included Mitchell in digs with 12 and Consoer and Dyanne Urzua with a block assist.

The Spartans are back on the road to compete in the Kankakee Quadrangular on Saturday, Sept. 7.
