River Grove, Ill. - The Elgin Community College volleyball team fell in three sets to Triton on Monday night.

The Spartans move to 5-12 overall as the Trojans improve to 11-4.

Team leaders included Leah Murphy in service aces (two), kills (14) and points (16), Cece Gonzales in assists (19), Murphy and Kathleen Draftz in digs (10) and Ryann Mitchell in blocks (two).

ECC kept it close in all three sets, but could not pull off a set win as they were bested 25-19, 25-15 and 25-22.

The Spartans are back on the road for conference competition as they take on Prairie State on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
