
The Elgin Community College women's soccer team had two players named to the All-Region team and four indivuals named All-Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) for their performances during the 2024 season.
Elena Carlos and Peyton Kohn each earned All-Region status for their stellar freshman year. Carlos was named First Team All-Conference while Kohn garnered Second Team accolades.
Carlos was an integral member of the team, serving as a captain and key midfielder. She recorded seven goals and seven assists to total 21 points and ranked 10th in the Region in assists.
Kohn led the offense with two assists and tied the program record of 17 goals to tally 36 points. She finished the regular season ranked third in goals and points in Region 4.
Additionally, Adeline Kinsella and Julissa Ortiz earned Honorable Mention All-Conference. Both started nearly every game to contribute heavily to the team's success.
The Spartans 2024 season came after a one-year program hiatus. They qualified for the Regional tournament for the first time since 2020 and its first winning season since 2019.
