Chicago Heights and Champaign, Ill. - The Elgin Community College women's soccer team split a pair of games this week.
The Spartans move to 7-5 overall and 2-3 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference play.
Oct. 2: Elgin 0, Prairie State 2
Elgin fell 2-0 to a strong Prairie State team on Wednesday.
Oct. 5: Elgin 3, Parkland 1
Julissa Ortiz netted the first goal of the game in the 21st minute. Peyton Kohn scored just three minutes later and again in the 48th minute.
Kohn is currently ranked second in Region 4 in goals scored this season with 15.
ECC is back on the road to face Waubonsee on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
