Elgin and Oglesby, Ill. - The women's soccer team is off to a 1-1 start in the 2024 season.

The Spartans fell 0-4 in its season opener against Mineral Area on Thursday. 

ECC clinched a commanding 5-0 victory at Rock Valley on Saturday. This marked the first program win since 2021.

Elena Carlos led the team with two goals and two assists followed closely by Peyton Kohn with two goals and one assist. Adiranely Galicia scored the fifth goal of the game.

Elgin hosts Lake County on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
