South Holland, Ill. - The Elgin Community College women's basketball fell 87-57 to South Suburban on Thursday night.
The Spartans move to 1-3 in their overall season as the Bulldogs improve to 1-2.
Ceili Ramirez scored a team-high 18 points, four steals and one block. Nicole Ramtahal and Shayne LaRock also scored in the double-digits with 10 points apiece. Nicole Beach grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
ECC was down by five after the first quarter, but SSC had a huge second quarter to enter halftime with a 57-34 lead. Elgin was unable to make up the deficit as the game resulted in the 87-57 final score.
The Spartans are back on the road to face No. 9 Wabash Valley on Friday at 7 p.m.
