Elgin, Ill. - The No. 13 Elgin Community College men's soccer team secured a 3-1 win over Triton in the Region 4 Quarterfinals.

The Spartans move to 14-3-3 and will advance to the Region 4 Semifinals. Fourteen wins in one season breaks the program record of 13, set in 2018.

Goal scorers included Ariel Gomez, Tito Diaz and Juan Herrera.

Several players are statistically ranked in the top five of Region 4. Brandon Gonzalez leads goalkeepers in wins with 13. Diaz ranks fourth in goals with 15 and fifth in points with 34 as Christian Escobedo is third in assists with 11.

Elgin will travel to face No. 15 Moraine Valley on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
