Elgin and Champaign, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's soccer team picked up two wins this week.

The Spartans improve to 10-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) play.

Oct. 1: Oakton 0, Elgin 6

Christian Escobedo netted two goals as Tyler Buthman, Adrian Diaz, Ariel Gomez and Gabriel Arias scored one apiece.

Brandon Gonzalez registered three saves in the shutout.

Oct. 5: Parkland 0, Elgin 1

Diogo Magana scored the lone goal in the 38th minute with an assist from Gomez. Gonzalez recorded seven saves in the tightly contested game.

Adrian Diaz is currently tied for third in Region 4 in goals (11) and fifth in points (25).

The Spartans are on the road to face No. 17 Moraine Valley on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
