Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's soccer team fell 3-0 to No. 11 Prairie State on Tuesday afternoon.
The Spartans move to 4-9-1 overall and 2-5 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) play as the Pioneers clinch a share of the conference title with a 12-2 and 6-1 record.
Iker Villagomez recorded seven saves in his 58 minutes of play. Luis Rubio, Miguel Navarro and Tyler Buthman registered one shot on goal.
The game was tightly contested, being scoreless through 60 minutes of play.
Prairie State's offense was able to succeed after top defender John Kraft and Villagomez left the game. Their goals came in the 60th, 65th and 74th minutes.
The Spartans host Truman on Saturday at noon.
