Elgin, Ill. - The No. 23 Elgin Community College baseball team defeated Highland 15-1 on Friday afternoon.

The Spartans improve to 35-11 in their overall season.

Leth Pearson earned his sixth win of the season from the mound. He pitched seven innings and recorded seven strikeouts.

Jack Kerno, Chris Lara, Daniel Blickhan and Peter Mitchell collected three RBI apiece. They along with Aiden Kashuba also recorded two hits on the day.

ECC hosts No. 11 Black Hawk on Saturday at noon.
