Glen Ellyn, Ill. - The Elgin Community College baseball team picked up a 13-3 road win over the College of DuPage on Thursday.

The Spartans improve to 10-6 in their overall season.

Josh Caccia earned his third win of the season after three innings. Jaden Alberson pitched three innings of relief and did not allow any runs or hits. Manuel Calderon made his collegiate debut in the final inning.

Team leaders included Nick Weaver in runs (four), Daniel Blickhan and Peter Mitchell in RBI (three) and Weaver, Mitchell and Cole Clemens in hits (two).

Mitchell recorded his first home run of the season in the top of the fourth inning.

Elgin is back on the road to face Bryant & Stratton in a single game on Friday at 3 p.m.
