
Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College baseball team swept Olive-Harvey in a pair of games on Tuesday.
The Spartans improve to 7-0 on the season.
Game One: OHC 6, ECC 10
Jaden Alberson made the start, pitching 3.1 innings and striking out two batters. Jim Bluemling picked up his first collegiate win as he only allowed one hit and one run in 1.2 innings on the mound. Casey Farrell came in to relieve and recorded two strikeouts in two innings.
Hitting leaders include Nick Weaver in RBI (three), Chris Lara and Weaver in runs (two) and Cole Clemens and Peter Mitchell in hits (two).
Game Two: OHC 3, ECC 10
Josh Caccia registered his second win of the season as he pitched five innings and struck out five batters.
Seven players tallied RBI including Clemens, Mitchell, Weaver, Jack Kerno and Andrew Flynn. Antonio Alanis and Matthew Brunscheen recorded two apiece.
The Spartans are back on the road to face Highland on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
