Elgin Community College baseball player Jack Kerno earned the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA) DII Baseball American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings Gold Glove Award for his performance at first base during the 2024 season.
The Gold Glove Award recipients are determined by the NJCAA Division II Baseball Committee.
Kerno posted a fielding percentage of 1.000 with 239 total chances, 225 putouts and 20 double plays.
He is the third Spartan in program history to earn this prestigious award. Bryan Stanley was selected in 2007 as a pitcher and Brandon Larkin-Guilfoyle earned it as a second baseman in 2014.
