River Grove, Ill. - The Elgin Community College baseball team suffered a 10-0 loss to Triton on Monday afternoon.

The Spartans move to 25-17 in their overall season.

Chris Lara and Patrick Nelson each recorded one hit in the game. Casey Farrell made the start and tallied five strikeouts in four innings.

Both teams were scoreless in the first two innings before the Trojans took a 5-0 lead after three.

Triton hit three more in the fifth, one in the sixth and one in the seventh to win 10-0 after seven innings.

The Spartans host Joliet for a single game on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
