Hallpike enters his 35th year at the helm of the men and women's tennis programs in the 2025-26 season.

A native of Antigua in the Caribbean, he played soccer at the University of the Virgin Islands and Kent State University in the Mid-American Conference. After college, he shifted his focus to tennis because of its life-long playing appeal as opposed to the rough and tumble life of a soccer player.

Hallpike was inducted into the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Hall of Fame and named the Wilson/ITA Midwest Region Women's Tennis Coach of the Year in June 2011. Since 1994, he has been named the Region 4 and Skyway Conference Coach of the Year numerous times and has taken his teams to compete nationally.
