
The Elgin Community College Athletic Department had fifty-eight student-athletes earn academic honors in the Fall 2024 semester.
This marks the most student-athletes to achieve academic honors in at least four years.
Students with a grade point average of 3.00-3.49 made the honors list, a 3.50-3.99 earned Dean's List recognition while a 4.0 GPA was a President's List recipient. To earn the award, students must be enrolled in six or more credits.
Nine student-athletes were named to the President's List including baseball players Matthew Brunscheen, Reed Burns and Justin Ceisel, soccer student-athletes Ashley Crisci and Luis Rubio, softball players Maile Fuller, Sydney Haughs and Zoe Kaler and tennis student-athlete Maria Misiaszek.
Eighteen student-athletes made the Dean's List. Recipients are basketball players Max Fessler and Valeria Costilla, golfers Nick Heinrich and Jake Russell, soccer players Adan Garcia and Peyton Kohn, softball player Zoie Adamson, tennis players Carlos Morales and Amelia Stoner and volleyball student-athlete Abriella Navarrete. Rounding out the list are baseball players Jack Bennett, Calvin Bredlau, Casey Farrell, Jack Kerno, Carter Novelli, Enzo Novelli, Sean Riordan and Wyatt Sabalaskey.
Thirty-one individuals recorded GPAs to qualify for the Honors List. Eight from baseball earned the honor including Antonio Alanis, Jaden Alberson, Jonathan Bayler, Manny Calderon, Cole Clemens, Miguel Rodriguez, Colin Swalley and Caleb Williams. Basketball players Jalan Alphonse, Josiah Mayes, Angel Nunez, Mia Calderon, Abby Esparza and Ceili Ramirez earned the honor. The soccer players include Gabriel Arias, Matt Kapetan, Diogo Magana, Xavier Marquez, Reyli Perez, Fernando Solis, Elena Carlos, Veronica Hein and Adeline Kinsella. Others named to the list are softball student-athletes Camila Alonzo and Madelaine Gilpin, volleyball players Alexis Macalindong and Annie Tiu, and tennis student-athletes Julia Burley, Izzy Masotti, Nicole Nosbisch and Matt Crumlett.
