Thirty-Six Named Academic All-Conference

The Elgin Community College athletic programs had 36 student-athletes earn Academic All-Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) honors for the 2023-24 school year.

Students with a 3.0 or higher grade point average are eligible to receive each award one time during their college career. Academic All-Conference first-year recipients had to have at least 24 credits hours while the Dick Durrant honorees had 48 or more accumulated credits.

First-year selections included baseball players Jack Kerno, Sean Riordan and Noah Schlup and basketball players Meek Ater, Gavin Khounnoraj and Isaiah Smith. Others earning the award on the men's side included golfers Jon Cunniffe and Jake Russell, soccer players Oscar Jimenez, Diogo Magana and Luis Rubio and tennis student-athletes Matthew Crumlett and Nathan Lieu.

Basketball student-athletes Hannah Masud and Izzy Vidallo, softball players Zoie Adamson and Sydney Haughs, tennis players Gabrielle Czeremuga, Nicole Nosbisch and Amelia Stoner and volleyball student-athletes Lilithe Buttron, Alexis Macalindong and Rachel Mikosz represent the women's honorees.

Eight from baseball earned the sophomore award, including Quinn Butera, Ryan Caccia, Josh Collins, Josh Genz, Charlie Jury, Jack Keck, Daniel Kinney and Andrew Sloan. Golfer Trevor Book, soccer player Ruben Guadalajara and tennis student-athlete John Eugenio also achieved the honor.

Jadyn Booz-Bruce of volleyball and Sarah Duque of women's basketball round out the sophomore award recipients.
