Volleyball Edged by Prairie State

Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College volleyball team was edged 3-2 by Prairie State on Thursday night.

The Spartans move to 0-13 overall and 0-3 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) play as the Pioneers improve to 2-7 and 1-2.

Prairie State claimed the first, second and fifth sets with scores of 25-14, 25-21 and 15-11. ECC pushed the game to extra sets, winning the third and fourth 25-22 and 25-20.

Team leaders included Lilithe Buttron and Trinity Evans in kills (10) and blocks (one), Rachel Mikosz in assists (15) and Jadyn Booz-Bruce in digs (17).

The Spartans are back on the road to face Moraine Valley on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
