Lake Villa, Ill. - The Elgin Community College women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season with an 8-1 victory over Lake County on Tuesday afternoon.
The Spartans won every match except No. 6 singles.
Singles:
No. 1: Anne Oshana (6-4, 6-1)
No. 2: Nicole Nosbisch (6-4, 6-1)
No. 3: Amelia Stoner (6-2, 6-0)
No. 4: Gabrielle Czeremuga (6-4,6-2)
No. 5: Izzy Masotti (6-3,6-1)
No. 6: Abigail Bertram (4-6, 6-0 ECC, 4-10)
Doubles:
No. 1: Oshana and Nosbisch (6-3, 6-3)
No. 2: Stoner and Czeremuga (6-0, 6-1)
No. 3: Masotti and Bertram (6-0, 7-5)
ECC travels to face Waubonsee on Thursday at 2:45 p.m.
