Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College women's basketball was narrowly edged 54-52 by Kishwaukee on Tuesday night.

The Spartans move to 5-9 in its overall season.

Kelechi Uchem led the team with 24 rebounds, 18 points and seven steals. Nevaeh Howard tallied 10 points and five steals.

ECC led 17-12 after the first quarter and 21-15 at halftime. Kish had a big third quarter to take the lead at 37-32. The game remained close during the fourth quarter before Elgin fell by two points.

The Spartans host Madison on Dec. 29 at 1 p.m.
