Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College soccer team was edged 3-2 by Triton on Saturday afternoon.
The Spartans move to 3-5 in their overall season as the Trojans improve to 2-1-1.
Omar Olivo and Victor Plet recorded the goals with Jesus Alonso on an assist to Olivo. Iker Villagomez tallied eight saves.
ECC held an early lead with goals in the 12th and 17th minutes.
Triton entered the second half with new found energy and scored in the 49th, 53rd and 78th minutes to hand Elgin the loss.
The Spartans are back on the road to face Lake County on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
