Northbrook, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's golf team earned a third place finish at Oakton on Wednesday afternoon.

The team finished with a total score of 336, which was a three-way tie for third. The tie breaker went to the fifth golfers, and with those scores, Elgin earned the sole third place finish.

Kyle Schutt led the team with an 80, finishing ninth out of 27 golfers.

Jack Aird and Trevor Book each shot an 83 with Brandon Kovanda and Jake Russell each scoring 90.

The Spartans travel to Lemont for Moraine Valley's conference tournament on Wedneday at 1 p.m.
