Byron, Ill., Oct. 9, 2021 - The Elgin Community College men's golf team concluded its 2021 season at the Region IV DII District C & DIII Championships Thursday-Saturday.

Brenden Gilbert, Brandon Jakl and Payton Yee golfed 18 holes each of the three days.

Gilbert led the group with his 251, improving each day with an 86 on day one, 85 on day two and 80 on day three.

Yee totaled 259 as he shot an 81, 86 and 92 on each of the days.

Jakl shot a 266 with an 87 on Thursday, 86 on Friday and 93 on Saturday.
