Cicero, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's basketball team was edged 74-71 at Morton on Thursday night.

The Spartans move to 5-22 overall and 3-9 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) play as the Panthers improve to 18-9 and 8-4.

Team leaders included Ian Smith in points (19), Isaiah Smith in rebounds (10) and assists (seven) and Maduk Deng in blocks (five).

ECC hosts Moraine Valley on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. for Sophomore Night.
