Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's basketball team was edged 86-78 by Black Hawk on Tuesday night.

The Spartans move to 1-8 in their overall season as the Braves improve to 8-3.

Four players scored double-digits, including Gabe Wright (20), Isaiah Smith (19), Derryl Gaddi (17) and Meek Ater (12).

Other team leaders included Smith and Ater in rebounds (eight), Wright in steals (four) and Smith in blocks (three).

The Spartans travel to Florida this weekend to face Miami Dade on Friday at 4 p.m. and Florida Southwestern State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
