Cedar Rapids, Iowa - The Elgin Community College men's basketball team suffered a 112-46 loss to No. 8 Kirkwood on Saturday night.

Team leaders included Darrell Island in points (16) and steals (three), Maduk Deng in blocks (four) and Derryl Gaddi in assists (four).

Kirkwood's explose offense shown throughout the game, holding Elgin scoreless through 14 minutes of the first half. Isaiah Smith and Island combined for 15 of the Spartans' 22 points to enter halftime at 22-50.

The Eagle's continued its scoring spree to result in the 112-46 loss.

ECC travels to No. 5 South Suburban on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
