Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's basketball team fell 111-99 to Triton on Friday night.

Isaiah Smith led the team with 28 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Derryl Gaddi scored 23 points, going 7-8 from the three point line. Meek Ater registered a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

ECC held the lead before Triton tied it up 19-19 seven minutes into the first half. The Trojans maintained the lead until a three pointer from Ian Smith tied it at 50-50 with two and a half minutes before halftime. Gaddi hit a three to enter halftime with a 54-57 advantage.

The Spartans continued to maintain the lead through eight minutes and held the lead through the rest of the game.

Elgin travels to No. 8 Kirkwood on Saturday at 6 p.m.
