Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College basketball team won the Spartan Classic with a 75-73 victory over Carl Sandburg on Saturday afternoon.

The Spartans improve to 7-3 overall as the Chargers move to 4-9.

DaRon Hall led the team with 29 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. Jadon Melvin registered a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Dorien Little tallied 17 points in the game.

ECC is on the road to face No. 18 Bryant & Stratton on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
