Chicago, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's basketball team picked up two wins over Truman (104-74) and Daley (92-55) over the weekend.

The Spartans improve to 5-2 in their overall season.

Game 1: Elgin 104, Truman 74

Jadon Melvin and DaRon Hall registered the first double-doubles of the season. Melvin scored 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds while Hall tallied 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Three other individuals scored in the double digits including Dorien Little (24), Will Christie (14) and John Gray III (10).

Game 2: Elgin 92, Daley 55

Four players scored over 10 points including Hall (18), Little (15), Christie (11) and Melvin (11). Gray and Melvin grabbed a team-high eight rebounds with Christie and Little registering seven apiece.

Hall and Little tallied five assists with Carson Seyller tallying four. Hall also recorded a team-high four steals.

The Spartans are back on the road to face Rock Valley on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
