Charlotte, NC – Nine Elgin Community College student-athletes were named to the 2022-23 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic Teams, as announced by the association on Monday.
Student-athletes are eligible to earn the academic honors by achieving an overall grade point average of 3.60 or higher with 24 or more credit hours. First Team honorees had a 4.0 GPA, Second Team maintained a 3.80-3.99 and Third Team honorees logged a 3.60-3.79 grade point average.
Second Team recipients include Owen Cutinello (baseball) and Tyler Thavong (men's tennis).
Jadyn Booz-Bruce (volleyball), Vanessa Cardenas (women's tennis), Alisa Donga (women's tennis), Adelyse Gonzales (volleyball), Logan Gramly (men's basketball), Trenton Shelton (men's basketball) and Andrew Shevlin (baseball) made up the Third Team honorees.
Gonzales also earned the honor in the 2021-22 academic year.
